You never completely get used to seeing your face plastered on magazine covers and being distributed by people you don’t know, and will probably never meet, at magazine stands next to busy urban streets. Christina Ricci had been seeing those magazine covers for many years; ever since the Addams Family had burst on to the movie scene so many years ago. Calendar Shoot July MILF

With this as the setting for the story, this has to be taken into consideration: The patterns of their language then is not the same as our modern day English, and many of the speeches and formal, public announcements are similar to modern day Masses, Liturgical Litanies, and public speeches.
