Cruel Liaisons, Dangerous Intentions

Ryan stood at the large window of the student residence living room he shared with his sister and adjusted the binoculars he held to his eyes. He looked out onto the beautiful sunny day and the scattered groups of students on the lawns and benches sunbathing, chatting or just fooling around. These really were the beautiful people, especially the young women in their light coloured short tops and shorts or skirts. Ryan liked to observe the young women on campus.

He ran his fingers through his slightly curling, short, light brown hair and focused on two girls in particular, sharing a rug under the slight shade of a poplar tree. His sister Sarah came at once into focus and he couldn’t help a wry smile cross his lips as he saw her body language to the other girl. She was so transparent. Still it would prove to be amusing to watch for a while so he picked up his glass of wine and took a sip as his sister, a masterful flirt, worked her magic. (more…)

The gynecologist office was private building and many people who pass it by do not even half the time know they are passing a medical building. There is good reason though this gynecology office is not screaming gynecology centre, for it is for the stars of Hollywood and other VIP’s. Their garage is connected towards the back of the building where a lot people do not even know it is there. It keeps them from seeing famous faces such as, Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguilera, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Alba, Hillary Duff and about the rest of Hollywood’s famous women. Alice Kramden was bored out of her mind, as usual. No television, no phone, no kids, no pets and no life. Her marriage was headed for the rocks, that much Alice was sure of. Ralph was becoming less and less affectionate toward her, and yelling at her more than ever, if that was possible.

It was just past noon, so Alice decided to run upstairs to Trixie’s place and shoot the breeze. Leaving the apartment made it seem like she was doing something a little different at least, and Trixie and Ed’s apartment was so much nicer than her dump. (more…)

She now realized that trusting fate and her stepmother’s cruelty to keep her out of Prince Cassius’ clutches had been a mistake. Instead of calmly allowing herself to be led to the slaughter she should have been running away as fast and as far as she could.

Well, she wasn’t going to be idle any longer. Everything for her escape was ready. Her bag was packed with only the essentials, a few drab peasant dresses, food that she had managed to steal and sewn in the hem of her skirt were coins and jewelry she would need to survive. (more…)

Angel finished collecting the dishes from breakfast, put them back on the tray and set it outside the room. Walking back in, he poured two cups of coffee and headed out to the back, covered balcony where Faith was lighting a fresh cigarette. He offered her one of the mugs.

“Thank you,” She breathed, exhaling as she accepted it. “So, what do you want to do while we wait?”

Hey, my name is Matthew, or Matt if you like. I lead a particularly normal, boring life. I’m 19, at university studying marine biology and have a weekend job at a big department store in the city; I work out and like to think I’m in good shape. Life was good. It was going to get better…

One regular, boring Saturday at work, I was standing behind the cash desk, depressed. My girlfriend of 6 months had broken up with me yesterday, for no good reason. I needed something to take my mind off the pain, not 4 hours of complete boredom. I was, of course, eyeing up every female around, but no-one had caught my eye. This shift was dragging even more than normal, because I was looking forward to something. I had won tickets to see my favourite band Evanescence from a radio station.
