*Into the Fire *

Morrighu wakes to find Valen already dressed, mostly packed, and nuzzling her ear, “Wake, my love. The day is ready for you even if you are not ready for it.”

She sighs and tries to pull him down beside her, but his hands steal inside the bed roll and down the back of her neck. (more…)

*Open Doors *

Morrighu throws the lever and the electrical discharge begins. The mimic begins to smoke and thrash but soon enough, it’s still. Cautiously, Morrighu pulls the lever back into the off position and watches closely to see if the mimic moves at all. She thinks she sees it move, so she throws the lever again. The mimic continues to smoke, but it doesn’t thrash very much at all. She quickly pulls the lever back and locks it in to place. (more…)

Morrighu looks at Valen, “The path leads this way.”

Morrighu moves off to get dressed but Valen lays on the bed, watching her with his tail lashing languidly. He sighs heavily at the sight of her as she bends over to pick up one of his gauntlets and toss it at him. (more…)

Osyyr watches them approach grinning.

Morrighu finds herself standing in the Realm of the Reaper and sighs gratefully, thinking that all is at has it been so many times before.

The Reaper greets her, “You have not visited this realm often since acquiring the Relic of the Reaper, but whenever you have it is always the same… the dire chill in the air seeps through to your bones, and the hum of ancient magic is all around you. How may I serve you, Sojourner?” (more…)

A knock on the door wakes Valen and he tries to get up to answer it, but Morrighu sleepily refuses to let go of him.

Valen carries her back toward the room with the sarcophagus leaving the others to follow in his wake.

He sets her down in the corner and points a finger at her, “Don’t move.”

*Light at the End *

Nathyrra begins looting again and lays out items for Valen to put in his pack.

Valen begins searching for more traps and finds a couple, which he disarms.

Eventually he works his way over to another storage area and he removes the trap. He calls to Nathyrra to unlock the door, which she does by casting a knock spell. Inside are more chests and crates, but he notes that the door opens inward which means it can be braced from the inside. (more…)
