Tivia continues as if she had never been interrupted, “You can increase her practice schedule from there, but do it gradually. She should be back to a normal practice schedule by about this time next year.”

*Laying Foundations*

Morrighu laughs at the two men, “I take it you were successful then. That’s good, but I still need to find an architect and a builder.”

Valen looks at her curiously, “What is an architect, exactly?”

She sighs, “I need someone who can take my drawings and turn them into something that the builder can actually raise. I also need someone to make sure that the building design is structurally sound and that the materials I’ve chosen will hold up to how I plan to use them.” (more…)

She sits there, in the tub, blushing at his frank comments about just how attractive he finds her.

Smiling slightly, her wet fingers trail across his cheek, as she purrs, “Mmmm…so you like to have me at your mercy. I think I can live with that. I have to admit that I find the experience to be…somewhat arousing myself. It isn’t a full answer to my question, but I suppose it will do for now. Johann nods thoughtfully, “I know that gold in sufficient quantities will sometimes sway the priests here, but it usually takes quite a lot of it. Have you any idea where she plans to locate her temple?”

He nods, “The Docks Ward, I believe. She wants to be as far away from the other temples as she can manage. She also thinks that it will be good for that part of the city, with all the paladins, monks, and clerics around.” (more…)

Argali scoots closer to look at Deekin’s drawings, “Argali likes it. It looks like a nice place. What is it?”

Morrighu shrugs, “I’ve been charged with building a temple to my goddess.”

Argali nods, “When it is built, Argali will recommend that anyone purchasing weapons take them to your temple to have them blessed.” (more…)

*Sparring With Heroes *

Mhaere brings out some more food, things she knows will tempt the other paladin’s appetite. Looking at her closely, as she sets the dishes down, she can see a transparency to her skin she dislikes. Her sister paladin seems — insubstantial, almost ephemeral. (more…)

Valen lies there, luxuriating in the attention Morrighu showers on him. He sighs contentedly just as a tentative knock sounds on the door.

*The Grand Ball*

She sighs heavily, “As you wish. You have always seen to my safety. It just seems a waste of good wine to me.”

He shakes his head as she hands the goblet off to one of the guards. Servers begin moving through the crowd passing wine, beer, and food. He’s amused to see that she’s not only heaped her own plate up, but that she’s picking things out for three of them as well. (more…)

Valen pads out of the bath, still wrapped in his sheet and carrying most of their things, when he encounters Durnan’s daughter, Tamsil.

*Into the Wastelands*

Morrighu wakes in the night to find Valen sitting off by himself, polishing his armor. She stretches and then gets up to see what has him occupied so. She walks up behind him and taps him on the shoulder. Intent on what he’s doing, he hasn’t noticed that she’s awake. He spins to face her, snarling and eyes glowing, thinking she is some threat.
