Georgia– Aka Heaven Ch. 03

Being kissed awake is good anytime. Begin kissed awake by Kiefer the next morning was exquisite. I was not jolted awake. I was simply suddenly aware of the warm breath near the top of my head. Slowly, his lips brushed my hair, ear, neck, shoulder, forearm, and then, even more slowly, traced the now tingling path back up to my cheek. This lazy traveling up and down of those lips against my skin should have had me shaking uncontrollably, but I found myself calm instead. Why not be calm? Enjoy this? General Hospital: Mia & Jason

I was up early the next day, enjoying the heavenly scents drifting up to my room from the diner below. I had an appointment first thing with Joanne who had been busy looking for places for me to put down PC roots. I stretched with the gracefulness of a cat as I slid out of bed and across the hallway to take a shower. Lovely Elizabeth was warming the hall with her presence and the steamy heat of the bathroom was just what the doctor ordered.

Joanne met me downstairs in the diner proper where we chatted over a light breakfast. I needed my usual two cups of java to get me going. Brain functioning, we took off in her Mercedes to view the properties she had lined up. (more…)

General Hospital: Mia & Mac

My third day in PC dawned sunny and cold, again. My usual breakfast was on the table down in the diner before I could even wiggle my fingers at that nice looking man who ran the place, Mike Corbin. Rumors have it he is related to Sonny Corinthos but I am not one to listen to rumors. So I asked him.

“Yep, that’s my son. I’m rather proud of him.”

“Oh? Is he your only child?” I queried.

Mike smiled with those pretty blue eyes of his, “No, I have a daughter too, Courtney. She’s married to Jasper Jacks.” (more…)

General Hospital: Mia & Durant

Living over Kelly’s was fun but the morning of my fourth day in Port Charles it was unusually cold and I had to wait in line for a hot shower. This cute young detective by the name of Jesse had moved in and apparently believed he had a lock on the hot water. This would not do. I paid Mike the balance of my bill and sashayed my delicious behind over to Jax’ hotel, The Metro. Apparently there had been so horrid mob shootout there on the tenth floor so they were running a reduced rate special to fill up the place. (more…)

The evening brought heaven–heaven in Georgia. Sure enough, during the soup course at the evening meal, Kiefer rose and excused himself, saying he’d forgotten to make a very important phone call and that he’d return very shortly. On his way back to his seat, presumably after making a call, he managed to lean over a cousin, seated next to me, and delivered a folded sheet of paper to my lap. I felt silly. Good silly. Like a junior high school girl getting notes passed to her in homeroom. (more…)

Game, Set, and Match Ch. 01

It was day four of a sunny tropical vacation on Zack Island. The female fighters from the past Dead or Alive tournaments had been lured here unknowingly, seeking new opponents to battle in hard-fought single combat. What they had found upon arrival had been…a little different. The island was a paradise, with long, smooth beaches, a lush jungle, and a simply decadent hotel, complete with a pool filled with cool, icy blue water. The only competition to be found seemed to lie in the various volleyball nets that were planted around the island, and a handy supply of different volleyballs at one of the stores. And so, the fighting femmes had shrugged, thanked their luck that the entire two weeks was on Zack’s tab, and proceeded to enjoy themselves. (more…)

*Season Four, cont.*

I fell in love.

With Vancouver. I thought that Toronto was fantastic but Vancouver was so wonderful and Ilene was so nice! I conferred with Henry and jumped right in, handling all the usual craft service stuff with my flair. The ladies of the L Word cast were just as beautiful as the men of Queer As Folk were and I made instant friends with Jennifer Beals, nearly salivating over the beauty that had captured the world years earlier in “Flashdance”.

Laurel Holloman turned out to be the person that I would become closest to. Her character was pregnant and in real life, Laurel, too, was with child. I made her small snacks, discreetly delivering them to her and always receiving a heartfelt thanks. But my biggest “gasp!-oh-my-God” sensation came from witnessing the still-gorgeous Pam Grier walking up the table and inspecting my wares. (more…)

I had six weeks to prepare.

In those six weeks, I worked my ass off at the restaurant, closed on a new house and leased my Toronto place to Stacy. I also went shopping again, overjoyed to see my old friends Michelle and Thea as they’d come up to help me in my search for clothes. I was getting better on being more stylish but I still welcomed their help. I related the plans to them and they were in total agreement with the boys. Thea took me to get my haircut and they headed back, anxious to see me when I arrived. (more…)

I knew I was in trouble when I heard that Ron was sick just after he ate my gazpacho. I quarantined the rest of the soup and was rushing around to find out who else had eaten it. It turned out that I didn’t have to rush. The sounds of retching people in the bathrooms and streets was enough warning. Production was scrapped for the day and I was left with a huge mystery. Luckily, Gale hadn’t eaten any of the tainted soup and he and Randy collected me, telling me that I deserved a drink after the day I’d had. (more…)
